Green Sex Guide; Become an Eco-Sexual

The posts in the series are designed for adults only!?
Not to be confused with dendrophilia, terraphilia, or any other nature-loving (or “loving”) niches, becoming an eco-sexual can mean one of two things. You can be an eco-sexual if you embrace eco-friendly products and practices (in the bedroom) and also if you seek out others who are environmentally friendly, for the purpose of coupling (i.e. hybrid-driving SWF recycler seeks same male for a little eco-freakiness between organic cotton sheets). One or both of these criteria are required to join the latest in open-minded sexual exploits.
If you’re looking to make love in a fabulously green manner, you’re in luck. There are plenty of products available to help you along the way. To begin with, you can appoint your most intimate room in eco-friendly fabrics like organic cottons and hemp silks that are just as dreamy as those 600-thread count Egyptian cotton sheet s you’ve been lusting after (only without the pesticides, harmful manufacturing pollutants, and high-impact dyes). From curtains to pillows to bed-linens, you can go green with all of your fabric choices. As for furniture, you can really create the lavish love nest you crave by using reclaimed products. Check estate sales, thrift stores, reclaimed-product retailers, and even Craig’s List to find the items you want (probably at a better price than new). And paint your walls bordello-red with green paints that are VOC-free. Instead of wood flooring, go for bamboo, and when it comes to illumination, consider low-energy compact fluorescent lights (which will fit in your current fixtures) or light a few candles to set the mood. You can even go green with your naughty toy-chest by purchasing safe and sustainable products made from wood, glass, and recycled plastics (they’re totally safe and toxin-free).
As for eco-sexual dating, you really shouldn’t have any trouble seeking a like-minded mate. If you can’t find the options on mega-dating sites like eHarmony, check out one of the many sites that cater to those who abstain from meat, prefer to recycle, and generally want to save the Earth from pollutants and deforestation. Believe it or not, the eco-sexual movement has become big enough to warrant a spate of personals websites. Vegan Passions is specifically dedicated to vegans on the prowl for some, uh, fresh meat (no more fights about picking the restaurant since there’s only one in a thirty-mile radius that will cater to this couple’s requirements), while Earth Wise Singles allows “friends of Mother Earth” and “environmentally responsible adults” to converse in a private and confidential setting. And Green Singles, which boasts 25 years of loving service, connects environmentalists, vegetarians, and any other singles who engage in Earth-friendly practices.
Whether you prefer an environmentally-conscious partner or just an eco-chic setting in which to get it on, it’s easier than ever to become an eco-sexual. Making love and loving the Earth do not have to be mutually exclusive, as this green movement continues to prove. And really, what could be more natural than considering your impact on the planet when you go au naturel?
