Environmental violators in New York City are in for a shock if ever caught violating the environmental regulations. A team of officers working for the Department of Environmental Conservation, now called the “Green Police“, are working on correcting the environmental issues NYC currently faces. The eco-team is working to enforce environmental crimes and have complete authority to issue citations to violators.
The “Green Police” have the job of helping protect the environment and have a mission… “To protect and enhance the environment and natural resources of the State of New York while also protecting the health and safety of its people through the enforcement of Environmental Conservation and related laws and public education.”
Anyone violating current emission standards, should know the “Green Police” have the authority to pull over any vehicle not complying with emission standards. With exhaust measuring gauges that measure the amount of pollution a vehicle is emitting, they can issues citations immediately. Depending on the issue at hand, violations can also lead to enforcement hearings.
Not only are polluting violators at risk for being busted, food vendors not complying with conservation laws can also be cited by the NYC Green Police! New York City’s Department of Environmental Conservation Green Police are working to clean up air and water violators!
