I think cork flooring is one of the best surfaces a home owner can opt for. It is new to me, but after seeing it laid down I am sold on the idea of cork flooring.

We are looking to build in a few years and I’m already beginning to do a little product research. We have 2 little ones, and hope to have more, so softer flooring is really a must. Right now we have carpet, which is soft and good for falls, but that’s probably about all it’s good for. We have wood parquet in much of the house and it has been the cause of several busted chins, busted lips, and a gray tooth. I’m not sure which of the above flooring would be my best option for “best to fall down on”. Maybe building a pier-and-beam foundation would also help cushion the falls. (We currently have a slab foundation.) Have any suggestions?
